PERKO® Launches High Performance Waste Tank Vent Filter

Boats and RVs are built to have fun, explore the outdoors with friends and family, and create memories that will last a lifetime. New models include better options, new electronic features, and attention to detail and design. Yet, the story told above is not an uncommon one, and while some vessels with heads move to mitigate foul odors associated with the systems, chemicals or other options may not be the best choice. People at the dock, in the cockpit, at the sandbar, or sitting in proximity to a boat or an RV still may notice unpleasant odors. Comfort of such a social gathering is important, and like the overall design of the vessel or RV... attention to detail of a product that improves that experience, always matters.
Innovative Features
The Perko Odor Eater™ is different and significantly better from what may be available today for several reasons. It very well may be the most advanced waste tank vent filter available. Utilizing a patent pending quick disconnect design, that allows both OEM installation, and the later replacement of the filter in the field, to literally be a "snap".

Easy Installation
The Odor Eater kit includes the filter, mounting bracket quick disconnects, as well as adapters to accommodate a variety of installation configurations. The initial installation or replacement of an existing tank vent filter would require the kit. Once the location of the filter is confirmed, the Perko Odor eater quick disconnect would be installed at the end of the hose coming from the tank, as well as the hose going to the hull vent. The bracket would then need to be installed. Once attached, the Odor Eater can be connected to the hoses, confirmed with a click or snap. The unit would then be placed into the bracket. In the case of an existing Odor Eater installation, squeezing the quick disconnects will release the cartridge, and simply connect a new cartridge, ...no tools needed.
Product shipments to Perko® distributors start in November 2024, with retail outlets such as West Marine, Boat Owners Warehouse, and others should have product in December.
