Fig. 0227 series lights meet the USCG requirements for 12-volt applications. All the above can also be used as 24-volt A.B.Y.C. A-16 certified lights on boats built prior to 11/1/03. To use as 24-volt lights while maintaining A-16 certification, replace the bulbs provided with Cat. No. 0072DP1CLR 24-volt bulbs. Contact us for 24-volt applications on new construction.

Better then factory !! Great fit !!

This is MUCH BETTER then the factory installed Atwood light that came installed on my 2012 Monterey 204FS. My original light had gotten crushed under a bulkhead top finishing board while tying up during at very low tide. It was all plastic and really didn't fill the teardrop shaped space in the bow. The Perko is much better made and fills the space perfectly. It has a full metal chrome top (base and lense are plastic). It looks great and has a very bright light.

Installation was pretty easy for most "do it yourselfers" but a couple of things to note. This uses a 2 screw mount and my old one was 3. Of course none of the holes lined up so I had to drill new ones. It DOES NOT come with screws. While I could I have used the old ones I used new stainless just to be sure I had a good bite in the new holes. I filled the old holes and new holes with marine silicone caulk before installing. The other key item is the 2 lead wires coming out of the light are stranded BUT fully soldered below the outer jacket/insulation. The wires in the boat were plain stranded wire. I would HIGHLY recommend you have a soldering iron available to insure a full secure connection. Having shrink wrap to cover the connection would be a bonus but good quality electrical tape will also work.

Perko Bow Light
